South Carolina Poet Laureate Joins E. Boineau & Company Team

CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Marjory Wentworth, poet laureate for South Carolina and veteran publicist and author, has joined E. Boineau & Company, a Charleston-based strategic marketing communications and public relations firm, as account director.
Wentworth, the author of three books of poetry, has spent 20 years in marketing and public relations in both staff and freelance capacities with publishing companies, health care entities, arts and cultural organizations, hospitality, film and television companies and magazines both in New York City and in Charleston. She has worked as a freelance book publicist for authors and publishers such as Mira Books, Harper Collins, Penguin Putnam, Inc. and Ballentine Books, among others, and will continue in that role in her affiliation with E. Boineau & Company. In the past, she also worked for renowned film and television publicist Cara White of Caramar Publicity, promoting PBS shows and a number of films shot here in Charleston.

Wentworth was educated at Mt. Holyoke College and Oxford University, and received her M.A. in English/American Literature and Creative Writing from New York University.
