Applications for the Awards, which will recognize effective marketing campaigns in South Carolina, will be judged according to a consistent set of measures, including each campaign's return on investment, the financial results of the campaign, and how well the campaign met strategic objectives, as well as the marketing challenges faced and how they were overcome.
Entrants could choose from among six categories this year. The Pyrotechnic, Firecracker, Flint and Torch Awards recognize marketing excellence in the large business, small business, collegiate, and non-profit categories respectively. The Dynamite Award honors excellence in event marketing. The Match Award recognizes marketing excellence for a small-budget campaign, and the Fuse Award identifies marketing excellence for a campaign that creates buzz surrounding a product, service, or event typically perceived as one that lacks interest or excitement.
Winners will be announced at the SPARK! Awards Soiree at the Creek Club at I'On on November 15, listed on the Charleston AMA website, and recognized in local and regional media as elite leaders in the South Carolina marketing community.
