CRBJBizWire: Frampton’s Keaton Green set to raise “green” for a cure for leukemia and lymphoma

Keaton Green kicks off campaign for LLS Man and Woman of the Year

Charleston, S.C. – Keaton Green, vice president of Frampton Construction Company, LLC, a regional full-service construction firm providing planning and design support, preconstruction, and construction services, is competing for the title of 2020 Lowcountry Man of the Year for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).

The official start of the LLS Man & Woman of the Year (MWOY) campaign is February 27 and is a 10-week philanthropic competition for leaders in local communities across the U.S. The title “Man or Woman of the Year” is awarded to the candidate whose team raises the most funds for LLS in honor of local blood cancer survivors, the Boy & Girl of the Year.

Green’s experience campaigning for LLS MWOY winners Bobby Green (2016) and Chad Frampton (2017) sparked his passion for fundraising for LLS. His choice to take it a step further and lead his own campaign was inspired by the children who fight blood cancer every day, in addition to his mother, who is in remission from breast cancer. When his friend and neighbor Mike Nicholson was diagnosed with blood cancer in 2019, Green became even further committed to the cause. All funds raised during the campaign will go directly to LLS in support of its longstanding mission to find cures and ensure patients access to the treatments they need.

“We’re excited for Keaton and his commitment to this worthwhile cause we at Frampton have a proud history of supporting,” noted Chad Frampton, CEO of Frampton Construction, who competed for and was recognized as Man of the Year in 2017, raising $214,000 for the cause.
