Greenville Business Magazine: Frampton Construction Selected To Build Cambria Hotel In Greenville
Frampton Construction Company, LLC, a regional full-service construction firm providing planning and design support, preconstruction, and construction services, has been selected by FourRaines, LLC, to build a 126-room Cambria Hotel in Greenville, S.C.
The 75,000-square-foot four-story hotel will be located on Carolina Point Parkway in a mixed-use retail area off Woodruff Road. The property is strategically situated near retailers like Whole Foods, Total Wine, and Starbucks.
Cambria Hotels is an upscale brand of the lodging company Choice Hotels. They currently have approximately 115 Cambria properties open or under development worldwide, with one now open in Mt. Pleasant and three more coming to South Carolina.
“Greenville is a booming city,” said Grey Raines, managing partner of FourRaines, LLC. “It’s the largest and fastest-growing county in South Carolina, and soon modern travelers visiting these communities will have the opportunity to enhance their stay at our upscale Cambria Hotels properties.”
The structural steel and wood-frame hotel will feature stacked stone and metal panels, and it will host a number of amenities suited for the modern traveler, including a state-of-the-art fitness center, spa-style bathrooms with Bluetooth mirrors, a locally-inspired menu of craft beverages and bites, and multi-functional meeting spaces.
Chris Knight, director at Frampton Construction, noted, “We’re proud to have been chosen by FourRaines to build the Cambria Hotel in Greenville. They’re a formidable player in the hospitality industry as is Cambria, part of the Choice Hotels brand. They’re in good hands with us as we share many of the same values and commitment to a high-quality, efficient construction process with each new project we undertake.”
Overcash Demmitt Architects completed the design for the hotel. Construction began in October of 2018 and is expected to conclude in late December 2019.
