Post and Courier’s Charleston Scene: “Looking for ways to beat the summer heat in Charleston? Check out these cool spots.”
Chelsea Grinstead identifies the International African American Museum as a place to visit this summer:
“Charleston’s newest museum just turned 1 year old, and it’s a great spot to bring a historically inclined friend or date to browse the 12 permanent exhibitions on display. “Follow the North Star: Freedom in the Age of Mobility” is a special exhibit on display through Nov. 3. Tickets for 30-minute intervals are $22 for adults, $10 for youth ages 16 and younger and free for kids under 6.”
