Best and Brightest: Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Honors Motley Rice Marketing Director

CFF honors Alicia G. Ward as one of the Lowcountry’s finest young professionals

MT PLEASANT, SC –  Motley Rice is proud to announce that the South Carolina Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) has selected Motley Rice Marketing and Communications Director Alicia G. Ward as one of the Lowcounty’s Best and Brightest among professionals.

“Since joining us in 2004, Alicia has helped to significantly expand our brand, increase our community involvement and further our efforts on behalf of our many clients and co-counsel. While excelling in her career, Alicia has also remained steadfast in her commitment of both time and resources to her family and community. I’m so pleased that her accomplishments, leadership and talent have been recognized with this admirable award,” shared Motley Rice managing member Joe Rice.

Ward was nominated by Elizabeth Boineau of E. Boineau & Company, her first public relations employer and a longtime professional mentor and colleague of more than 20 years. Honorees were evaluated by an independent panel of community leaders and chosen based on outstanding business accomplishments, leadership skills and philanthropic involvement. Ward will collaborate with the CFF and other nominees to increase awareness of cystic fibrosis in the community while raising funds for research and development.

“She gives back, inspires and leads graciously each and every day for her firm, her co-workers, her family and the many professional and community organizations and causes where she gives her time, her mind and her heart,” said Boineau in her nomination of Ward.

On May 24, 2012, the CFF will host a Red Carpet reception at Cinebarre in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., to introduce the honorees and kick off a 16-week campaign. Honorees will spend time meeting with cystic fibrosis patients, volunteering at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Care Center and participating in numerous networking events. One of the honorees will be named the Lowcountry’s Finest Young Professional of the Year and will receive special recognition on Sept. 13, 2012.
