Frampton Construction expands operations with new office in Charleston
Charleston, S.C. — Frampton Construction Company, LLC, a full-service construction firm providing planning and design support, preconstruction, and construction services, has expanded its operations with the construction of a new office building in Charleston, S.C. The $12.9 million investment will create 69 new jobs.
“Frampton Construction’s decision to expand its regional headquarters in Charleston County is a testament to the thriving business environment we have created. The company’s $12.9 million investment and the creation of 69 new jobs will help further strengthen our state’s economy,” commented Governor Henry McMaster.
The company, which also has offices in Charlotte, N.C., and Tampa, Fla., wanted to remain headquartered in Charleston but needed more room for growth.
Chad Frampton, president and CEO of Frampton Construction, said, “Our decision to build our new office in Charleston County is evidence of our commitment to our people. They are the heart and soul of Frampton Construction and drive every choice we make. For nearly three decades, Frampton Construction has proudly called Charleston home, and our new office reflects our deep roots and enduring dedication to our people and our community.”
This new space will allow Frampton Construction to continue to expand its logistics and manufacturing business units, while also growing its “people team,” a team that is dedicated to overseeing Frampton’s holistic employee journey, from talent acquisition to culture experience to leadership development and more.
“Frampton Construction’s announcement demonstrates how the company’s dedication to planning and innovative design doesn’t just shape buildings; it shapes the very fabric of our community,” noted Charleston County Council Chair Herbert Ravenel Sass, III.
The 40,000-square-foot facility, located at 9705 Highway 78, Suite 105, in Ladson, will function as the company’s flagship office and will set the standard for other Frampton offices now and in the future. The facility, which is constructed of concrete tilt walls with glass curtainwall, wood, and metal panels at the storefront entrances, features a golf simulator room, a training center, a gym, a café, and a barbershop. Frampton Construction will occupy 18,000 square feet of the facility. There is also additional tenant office space.
Secretary of Commerce Harry M. Lightsey III said, “Congratulations to Frampton Construction on building a solid foundation in South Carolina. We look forward to seeing this expansion’s impact on Charleston County and our entire state.”
LS3P served as the architect for the project, and Hoyt & Berenyi served as civil engineer.
