Post and Courier: Builder completes work at former Cigar Factory property
A prodigious Charleston contractor finished improvements to Circle Seven at Garden & Gun, a new retail place on the city peninsula.
Frampton Construction recently completed renovations to the store property, located within the esteemed Cigar Factory building at Easy Bay and Columbus streets.
Building efforts included redoing existing space “consistent with a boutique retail store and a replica of a French pigeonnier with a catwalk that spans across the boutique and connects Garden & Gun with Circle Seven,” according to the company. To upgrade the space without detracting from the Cigar Factory’s natural look and historic architecture, Frampton Construction teamed with architects at McMillan Pazdan Smith Architects. Together, they designed the custom fabricated pigeonnier and catwalk that allows for private customer entry from the Garden & Gun area. Pace Collective of S.C. Inc. was also involved in the project.
According to Will Pace, of Pace Collective, “Circle Seven could not be more excited to enter the vibrant Charleston market.” He also credited “Tom Black and the Frampton team handling our important expansion into Charleston.”
