LowcountryBizSC: BERCHTOLD builds bikes and paints the town to bring smiles to children in need
What:
BERCHTOLD Corporation will sponsor and host two charitable events benefiting the local Charleston community during the week of the company’s national sales and service meeting: Build-A-Bike and “PaintFest” for the Foundation for Hospital Art activities.
When and Where:
Build-A-Bike will take place on Monday, January 27, from 2:15 pm to 4:15 pm at the Charleston Harbor and Resort Marina, Patriots Point, Lookout Pavilion.
“PaintFest” for the Foundation for Hospital Art will be held on Thursday, January 30, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm at BERCHTOLD Corporation’s Charleston Headquarters, located at 1950 Hanahan Road, North Charleston, S.C. 29406.
Details:
During the Build-A-Bike activity, BERCHTOLD employees will build 18 bikes to donate to children at the Cannon Street YMCA in downtown Charleston. A presentation ceremony will be held around 3:45 p.m. following the assembly of the bicycles. Children and YMCA staff will be on hand to accept the gifts from BERCHTOLD officials.
The “PaintFest” for Foundation for Hospital Art event includes BERCHTOLD employees painting large canvases and creating artwork that will be donated to a children’s hospital in the Southeast.
