LowcountryBizSC: Jarrard, Nowell & Russell grows firm with new staff members
Jarrard, Nowell & Russell, LLC (JNR), a Charleston-based accounting and business advisory firm, has added Sherry Knebel as front desk receptionist and April Almond as staff accountant at the firm’s North Charleston office.
Knebel brings 25 years of experience to the firm. Prior to joining Jarrard, Nowell & Russell, she served as the full-charge bookkeeper for St. Andrews Parks and Playground. Before that, she acted as the senior accounts payable specialist for Secure Mission Solutions, a government contractor, and served as the full-charge bookkeeper and administrative assistant for the South Carolina Lowcountry & Resort Islands Tourism Commission. Knebel is a Charleston native and a graduate of Garrett High School. She currently lives in Hanahan with her husband, George. They have four daughters and two granddaughters.
Almond previously served as staff accountant for Donald R. Stephens, CPA, LLC. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and management information systems from Charleston Southern University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Almond is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), the South Carolina Association of CPAs (SCACPA), and the coastal chapter of the SCACPA. She lives in Summerville with her husband. They have two children and one grandchild.
