The Charlotte Post: South Carolina museum celebrates Black history, culture
A museum dedicated to the contributions of Black Americans will open in South Carolina this summer.
The International African American Museum in Charleston will launch on June 27 with festivities that include community events including an opening ceremony on June 24. The museum was originally scheduled to open on Jan. 21 but was delayed while city staff and contractors worked to stabilize humidity and temperature levels inside the new building.
