WCSC-TV: Edisto Music & Shag Fest set for Aug. 30-31
EDISTO ISLAND, S.C. (WCSC) – The Edisto Music & Shag Fest will return to Bay Creek Park on August 30 and 31.
The Festival, which will begin at Noon on Friday and run through 11 p.m., will feature arts and crafts, food vendors, and live music. Headliners will perform from 7 to 11 p.m., with a professional shag competition beginning at 9 p.m.
Saturday will feature more of the same, with the event running from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday’s event will include music from Steve Craig and the Out Of Towners from 2 to 6 p.m., and the East Coast Party Band will take the stage from 7 to 11 p.m.
Shag clubs from around the southeast are expected to participate in the weekend competition.
