Beaufort County Disabilities and Special Needs is recruiting for three positions
Beaufort, S.C. – The Beaufort County Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (BCDSN) employs case managers, early interventionists, direct care specialists (part time and full time), and a registered nurse. Currently, the BCDSN is seeking to fill three open positions: a full-time direct care specialist, a part-time direct care specialist, and a registered nurse.
The full-time and part-time direct care specialist will provide individualized person-centered programming and training for adults in both the residential and day programs, while also ensuring the health, safety, and accountability of individuals in these programs.
The BCDSN is also seeking a registered nurse who will be responsible for the medical care of all individuals in the residential and day programs. Other responsibilities include training staff on medical issues and providing medication administration training, along with other related duties.

The Beaufort County Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (BCDSN) advocates for individuals with developmental disabilities and special needs, to live more productively and inclusively in the community. Services include early intervention for young children, a day program and employment opportunities for adults, residential living that accommodates forty-four individuals in 11 homes, supervised independent living for five additional individuals, foster home care, and summer camp experiences. The BCDSN currently serves over 880 individuals and families. Case management is provided to over 770, and early intervention services are provided to over 180.
