Charleston, S.C. – Christopher Nowell of Jarrard, Nowell & Russell, LLC, a Charleston-based certified public accounting and business advisory firm, has been named chairman of the Board of Directors for Summerville Community Orchestra.
Nowell is a certified public accountant and business consultant with over 25 years of experience in corporate financial management. Prior to forming Jarrard, Nowell & Russell, Nowell served as treasurer for Cameron & Barkley Company. He also worked for Hagemeyer North American Inc. as vice president of North American Treasury. He is also an active member of the community, having served as treasurer for the Charleston Stage Company and as a member of the Board of Directors for the ASCEND Foundation. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors for Push-Up & Up. A graduate of Clemson University, he currently resides in Summerville, S.C.
