Sustainable Speed Dating for Single Professionals Sparks the Holiday Season

Charleston, S.C. – Face to Face Charleston, LLC, Charleston’s only full service matchmaking and social networking company will be hosting Sustainable Speed Dating, from 6 to 9 pm, Thursday, December 15, 2011. The company puts its own twist on speed dating by slowing it down a touch and by including two mini-dates before the guests leave. The event will be held at the recently opened Eli’s Table, 129 Meeting Street (near Queen), owned by the Charleston Hospitality Group. The event will benefit the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots drive. All guests are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy. Those who do will receive a $10 discount off the $35 entrance fee, which includes appetizers.

The evening starts with open networking and cocktails. Participants “warm up” at conversation tables for five minutes initially, and then all guests rotate through each table. The gentlemen have two keys to invite “ladies” for a private mini-date. Ladies have two locks to give away. After five minutes together to determine if there’s some potential, a 20 minute follow up date offers interested parties a chance to get more comfortable before deciding to set a later date outside of the event. This comfort level creates “sustainable” opportunities to build relationships. Martine Friedman, Face to Face Charleston’s Founder and CEO noted, “Eli’s Table is the perfect setting for this ‘get to know you at just the right speed’ event, and all for a good cause too.”

Single professionals wishing to attend should visit the calendar page on facetofacecharleston.com/events and click on the link. Pre-registration is required by Dec 14th at 5:00 pm, and tickets are on a first come, first serve basis. The cost of the event is $35, $25 if attendees bring a new, unwrapped toy for the Toys for Tots drive. Attendees can park at the public garage at 93 Queen Street, a short walk to Eli’s Table.

Face to Face Charleston, LLC is the only locally owned, full service matchmaking and social networking company in Charleston. The company provides successful professionals with opportunities to find meaningful relationships through networking events and private referrals. Face to Face Charleston connects local single professionals “up close and personal.” Private introductions offer better quality dating experiences and the potential for a more substantive relationship with far less frustration and worry than online dating alone.
