Walterboro Public Safety Officers Make Arrest
Walterboro, S.C. – Walterboro Public Safety offices have charged Brantley Tremain Washington, 23, of Walterboro, with attempted murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, malicious damage to personal property, and discharging a firearm in city limits.
On January 16, 2013, at 5:10 p.m., Walterboro Public Safety officers responded to a report of gunshots being fired at 103 Mincy Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located several spent shell casings in the roadway and initiated crime scene procedures. Investigators processed the scene and began an investigation, finding two vehicles that sustained damage by a gunshot. No persons were struck. Washington was named as a suspect during interviews conducted by officers. That information was then corroborated by additional information attained during the investigation.
The incident is still an ongoing investigation. No other information is being released at this time.
